Silent Auction Description | Go where no man or woman has ever gone before... until a bunch of them did and a bunch of Red Shirts died and a bunch of alien women fell in love with a human spaceship captain and a bunch of other crazy stuff happened, for years and years and seasons and seasons! This lot contains numerous delights for the Star Trek fan, from coffee accessories to a felted menagerie of alien creatures. Read on for details! Creatures of Star Trek - made by Nathan Yaussy - Star Trek is known for many things, such as addressing current societal issues, creating the look of new technologies, and forming the basis for how future fandoms arise. It is NOT known for a massive special effects budget. Nowhere is this clearer than in some of the aliens created for the show. These needle felted plushes pay homage to four of the more… creative creature designs. The Alfa 177 Canine—totally not a terrier with a horn in a fur coat—comes from the Original Series episode The Enemy Within. The Klingon Targ—totally not a pig with a horn in a fur coat—is best seen in the Next Generation episode Where No One Has Gone Before. The Horta—totally not a guy under a blanket—is from the Original Series episode The Devil in the Dark. Also included is a single Tribble from the iconic Original Series episode The Trouble with Tribbles. Each item is made with alpaca wool and craft felt. The Alfa 177 Canine and the Targ have wire armatures for stability and posing, as well as plastic eyes and clay noses. Star Trek Bus-it Doll - made by Jen P, Xylophobian - When your internet gives you lag, Or the crashing bus makes you shout, Here's a little Bus-It doll You cannot be without Grab it by the legs And chose a place to smack it And as you whack the stuffing out - Say Bus-It, Bus-It, Bus-It! Great little dolls for both personal fun (or stress relief) or gifting. This one is made with Star Trek fabric! Enterprise Earrings - made by Sarah Overall - Being out in the middle of nowhere, soaring between galaxies, is no excuse for not dressing well! Snazz up your uniform and show your Star Trek pride with these cross stitched Enterprise earrings. They're almost as good as earning another pip for your collar! |
